EastView is surrounded by an extensive network of health care services. Porter Medical Center and Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center are located next door, literally! University of Vermont Medical Center and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center provide top-notch medical specialists and state-of-the-art facilities for the Champlain Valley region. Elderly Services’ also known as Project Independence located in Middlebury offers daily respite and activities in conjunction with a great team of social workers who assist families in charting a positive response to challenging transitions that may arise during retirement years.

Middlebury provides EMT services with the Middlebury Regional Emergency and Medical Services which ensures a quick response for any medical emergency. EastView works closely with Addison County Home Health & Hospice in overseeing hospice and palliative care services, support after hospitalization or serious illness, as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy support during recuperation. In addition, the region is blessed with hundreds of volunteers who have completed a volunteer training program coordinated by Hospice Volunteer Services who then provide compassionate care for families when a loved one is receiving hospice services.

The Middlebury region also benefits from a variety of well-established dentists, optometrists, and mental health professionals, as well as podiatrists, orthopedics, audiologists, dermatologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and a wide range of holistic medicine practitioners.
