Elderly Services’ also known as Project Independence located in Middlebury offers daily respite and activities in conjunction with a great team of social workers who assist families in charting a positive response to challenging transitions that may arise during retirement years.

Middlebury provides EMT services with the Middlebury Regional Emergency and Medical Services which ensures a quick response for any medical emergency. EastView works closely with Addison County Home Health & Hospice in overseeing hospice and palliative care services, support after hospitalization or serious illness, as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy support during recuperation. In addition, the region is blessed with hundreds of volunteers who have completed a volunteer training program coordinated by Hospice Volunteer Services who then provide compassionate care for families when a loved one is receiving hospice services.
