Rob Alberts, Director Emeritus, is the Founder and Past President of EastView. Past owner of Middlebury Fitness, Rob is responsible for the vision and building of EastView. He was President of the United Way of Addison County Board (2008-2010) and a Commissioner of the Vermont Housing Finance Agency (2006-2011). Rob broadcasts Middlebury College men’s and women’s basketball games. Currently he is an Assistant Basketball Coach for the men’s basketball team at Middlebury College. Rob lives in Bridport with his wife, Sarah, and their three children.
Karen Beinhaur is a Registered Nurse and currently serves as the Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President of Patient Care Services at Porter Hospital. Karen has been a nurse for over 20 years and has worked in a variety of clinical settings in New Hampshire and Vermont. Karen is a seventh generation Vermonter and grew up in Vergennes. She is a member of the Vergennes Congregational Church, where her father is the minister. Karen lives in Shoreham with her husband, Sean, and their son Colby. She enjoys traveling and savoring the beauty of the outdoors.
Roberta Coffin is a retired pediatrician who was the Director of Medical Services, and Maternal and Child Health Services for the Vermont Department of Health. She maintained this position for a number of years before she became Commissioner of Health from 1983-1989. She then became the Administrator for the Dept. of OB/GYN and Pediatrics at the (then) Medical Center Hospital of Vermont. She is a driver for Meals on Wheels, and volunteers at the Sheldon Museum. Roberta and her late husband (Dr. Laurence Coffin, a retired cardiothoracic surgeon) moved to EastView in 2012. Their 3 children and 7 grandchildren are frequent visitors.
Ted Dunakin is a Maintenance Project Manager in the Facilities Services Department at Middlebury College. Prior to that he was the Director of Planning and Zoning for the Town of Middlebury, working in that office for eight years where he oversaw development in both the public and private sector while overseeing the Planning Commission, Development Review Board, and Design Advisory Committee. Ted is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and received a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. He lives in Ripton with his wife, Lesley, and their two children.
Dick Foote is an attorney with the law firm of Conley & Foote in Middlebury, where, since 1987, his practice has focused on estate planning, real estate and civil litigation. He is a past Board Chair of Addison County Home Health & Hospice, Hospice Volunteer Services, and Youth Safety Council of Vermont. In addition to serving on EastView’s board, he currently serves on the Boards of Porter Medical Center, Cooperative Insurance Companies, and is Chair of the Addison County Grammar School Corporation. Dick lives in Bridport with his wife, Missy.
Meg Storey Groves is the Associate Vice President for Alumni and Parent Programs at Middlebury College. Her work includes the oversight of major alumni and parent campus events, regional alumni programming, and the Middlebury Alumni Association Board. An East Asian Studies major at Middlebury, she also holds an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth. Meg lives in Cornwall with her husband, Laurie. They have three children in various stages of leaving the nest.
Gus Jordan is Chair of the EastView Board of Directors. He has been at Middlebury College since 1996. He has taught clinically oriented courses in the department of psychology and serves as executive director of health services, counseling, and sports medicine at the college. Gus is a licensed psychologist in the State of Vermont and has published on topics ranging from academic dishonesty and professional ethics to family structure and its relation to depression in children. He received his B.A. in psychology from Emory University, his M.Div. from Yale University, and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
Sherry Klinck is a Past Chair of the EastView Board of Directors and a Board Member Emeritus for the 2017-2018 term. She is a past member of the Porter Medical Center Board of Trustees, Porter Hospital Board, Past President of the Porter Auxiliary, and a member of the Porter Leadership Team. In the American Camping Association, she served as a member of the Vermont, the New England, and the National ACA Boards. She was the Executive Administrator of the Keewaydin Foundation. Sherry is currently a self-employed educator and private tutor. She and her husband, John, live in Cornwall where they enjoy reading, bird watching, gardening and the activities of their two children and five grandchildren.
John Myhre is Vice Chair of the EastView Board of Directors. He is Vice President of Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. His prior civic contributions include being a local business owner, a Select Board and Planning Commission member, and Board Chair of both Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center and Porter Medical Center. John is a Middlebury College graduate and holder of an M.S.A. in Finance. John and his wife, Peggy, a nurse at Middlebury College, live in Weybridge with their two children.
Sarah Peluso has been a licensed real estate broker for IPJ Real Estate in Middlebury, VT since 2009. Prior to that, she was an area designer for Crate and Barrel, responsible for the Boston area stores and visual merchandising and design, and later worked for a developer staging model homes throughout the Northeast. Sarah has been very involved with the United Way of Addison County over the years and was Board President in 2012. Currently she serves on the Middlebury Planning Commission and is also the Addison County Director of the VT Realtors Association. Sarah lives in Cornwall, with her husband, Mark, Medical Director and Head Team Physician at Middlebury College, and their two children.
Carrie Wulfman, M.D. is a Past Chair of the EastView Board of Directors. She is a family doctor employed by Porter Medical Center and is Chief Medical Officer of Porter Medical Center. She has a special interest in geriatrics. Carrie lives in Ripton with her husband, Jeff, and her four children. She enjoys tennis, gardening, and interior design.
